What we do

  • Personally receive reports and provide an initial legal assessment.
  • Clarify confidentiality, information sharing, and follow-up questions.
  • Perform agreed functions of an internal reporting office under the HinSchG.
  • Coordinate procedures, documentation, and feedback.
  • Provide training to introduce the system and explain how to use it.

The company remains responsible for remedying an established violation. An ombuds service does not replace management, a necessary investigation, or legal defense.

The engagement determines the procedure

Before we start, we define the entities and subject areas covered, who may report, and who initiates follow-up action. Equally important are backup arrangements, data protection, and a procedure for reports concerning senior management. Information provided to employees must reflect the actual engagement.

Employers generally employing at least 50 people are, in principle, required to establish an internal reporting office; special rules apply to certain sectors. Public institutions must also observe the specific provisions applicable to them.
